Artist Profile
Irma Gagnon has never measured up as far as her Catholic school teachers were concerned in the small town of St.Thomas, so she moved to the big city to pursue her dreams of being the next host of "The National". Somewhere along the way she took a wrong turn and ended up on stage as a comedian, actor and show girl. As her alias, she co-hosted a daily online radio talk show called, “The Liquid Lunch Show” for a year, hosted her own short lived online talk radio show called, “The Yoko Sanchez radio show” (on Chevradioam.com in Markham); covered Canadian Music Week in 2007 at Thatradio.com -and at XM satellite radio in 2008, covered Sexapalooza; Gay pride 2008, The Toronto international Film Festival,competed in the Stand up Throw down comedy competition in 2007, and appeared on XM satellite radio’s Laugh Attack radio show; She’s also made regular guest appearances on The Kelevision Radio Network (nominated as sexiest female guest) and The Dave and Chuck show. She is currently enrolled in the Humber College Television Writing and producing program which boasts a formidable list of former students and is freelance writing for Futureale magazine. She is on hiatus at the moment but will be back on stage in the spring of 2009 as Yoko as soon as she picks up some pointers on how to rule the world.
