Artist Profile

Katie Refling is a Toronto based photographer specializing in portrait, nude, boudoir and glamour photography with a digital edge. New to the photography scene in Toronto, Katie started working professionally in early 2008 and over the past year has quickly grown her business to include a wide array of clients from all walks of life including those from the entertainment, architecture and tourism worlds.

Prior to starting her photography career, Katie co-created 5 Shades Media, a Toronto based website design firm where she worked as a lead graphic designer. Katie has taken the design skills she picked up creating websites and has transferred them to her photographs, allowing her to surpass the boundaries of traditional photography and bring something edgy and unique to her images.

Some of Katie's work has been published in the book, Haunted Ottawa, and she is currently putting together a gallery showing of her artistic nudes titled, "There Are No Shadows" which will be displayed in May of 2009.
