Shawn Shapiro - Editor-in-Cheif

My name is Shawn Shapiro and I am the proud Editor in Chief of FutuRéale.

I have been writing since I was 13 years old and the past 5 years have been participating in editing internships and freelancing around the city. From a young age I gravitated to the arts (especially film) and I developed a zest for arts, culture and living.

I am a creative person who is always looking for the next great look and idea for the magazine.
Deepi Harish - Living and Culture Editor

Embarking upon an untamed two year adventure of creating a life in Shanghai, China, working as a freelance writer and a senior editor for the Content division of Microsoft, along with completing a four year honors BA in Criminal Justice and Public Policy, have all contributed to ripening my taste for communication.

Being published in both a creative and corporate culture, I instantly drew a deeper affiliation as a creative writer, as I was able to explore disciplines outside of realm of information technology. I relish being part of the urban agglomeration; the taste of the air, the noise, the congestion serve as compelling reasons for me to stay married to the metropolis of Toronto.

Collaborating with FutuRéale ties in with my long term goal of intensely studying real people in the real world.

Julia Pronin - Assistant Editor

My name is Julia Pronin, and it is a great pleasure to be a member of the FutuRéale team! My interests span from the arts to culture, and to living. I love to attend art galleries and exhibits, and plan to expose the readers of FutuRéale to the many innovative works of Art that Toronto has to offer. As well as visuals art, I enjoy music very much, and am thrilled to unravel Toronto's greatest musicians. I also enjoy films and books, and will provide as many of my insights and suggestions as I can. I also love to explore the night life and dinning opportunities of Toronto, and will do my best to feature Toronto's best!

Besides culture, life must have a bounty of health, and that is why good nutrition, active lifestyle, plenty of nature, and a calm soul all combine into a recipe for health. I am a firm believer in taking care of the mind, body, and soul, and will actively seek practical tidbits of advice for our readers.
